Component libraries

In this lesson, we will talk about component libraries in Angular application development.
Component libraries in Angular (and other frameworks) help developers quickly solve common UI tasks and build typical visual elements. For example, they allow fast creation of modal dialogs, accordions, and tables with pagination and sorting.

Of course, developers can build such components themselves (or even create their own component libraries). However, when development speed is important, ready-to-use component libraries can be extremely helpful. These libraries provide not only pre-built UI components, but also well-designed APIs.

For example, they offer APIs for opening and closing modal dialogs or handling table pagination and sorting. This means developers do not need to manually calculate the number of pages in pagination or implement sorting logic themselves — the components handle these tasks out of the box.

Below is a list of some popular Angular component libraries:

In most cases, these libraries are updated in parallel with Angular releases. There are also commercial component libraries available, such as Kendo UI.
